What are the rates of the Heritage String Quartet?
Wedding Ceremony: $500 including music consultation, rehearsal attendance, prelude, ceremony, and postlude music.
Hourly Rate: $150 for the first hour, and $100 for each additional hour.

The Heritage String Quartet is versatile, performing for a wide variety of events. In the past, this has included (but is not limited to):

Can the Heritage String Quartet play for my outdoor event?
Yes, as long as there is a backup plan in case of rain. The quartet needs to be in the shade, as direct sunlight can cause warping of the wooden instruments. The temperature needs to be over 60 degrees in order to facilitate proper tuning of the instruments.
What should I provide at the event for the Heritage String Quartet?
Four armless chairs in an approximately 10’ by 10’ space, with sufficient lighting so that we can see our music.
Does the Heritage String Quartet come to my wedding rehearsal? What about the rehearsal dinner?
Yes, the Heritage String Quartet attends your wedding rehearsal at no additional charge. The rehearsal gives the quartet the opportunity to confirm cues and ensure that the transitions during your wedding ceremony are seamless, keeping the focus on the wedding party. As far as the rehearsal dinner, you are under no obligation to provide arrangements for the quartet for the dinner.

How do I book the Heritage String Quartet?
To reserve your event, a non-refundable 25% deposit must be mailed along with a signed contract (provided by the Quartet). You may also enclose the balance, which is refundable until the balance due date.
The balance will be due on the day of your event.

What is a String Quartet?
A string quartet is a miniature string orchestra, consisting of two violins, a viola and a cello. Like a choir, it is divided into four parts. One of the violins usually plays the melody, while the other plays a lower harmony part corresponding to the alto voice in a choir. The viola, which resembles a large violin, is pitched still lower and has its own distinct tone quality that is vital to the overall sound of the quartet. The cello plays the lowest notes, similar to the bass voice in a choir, but may also play the melody.
